Your Game Changer SlimMed Weight Loss Shot
What Is SlimMed Shot?
The SlimMed Shot is a drug treatment for chronic weight management and is administered via subcutaneous injection. There are two types of the SlimMed Shots.
The first one is composed of the drug Semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist that mimics the hormone known as glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and affects the areas of the brain that help regulate food intake and appetite.
The second type contains an active ingredient Tirzepatide, which is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor co-agonist that facilitates weight loss by regulating the levels of insulin and sugar in the body, as well as the activity of hunger-regulating hormones.
Both SlimMed shots contain levocarnitine which helps the body metabolize fat.
The SlimMed Shot is offered at IBI Healthcare Institute and SurgiCare Arts & Aesthetics as part of a comprehensive weight loss program.
How Does SlimMed Help To Lose Weight?
The SlimMed Shot helps boost the levels of GLP-1 in the body which is a key regulator of weight and blood sugar. It also helps to suppress the appetite through the brain, and it slows the rate at which the stomach empties to prolong the sensation of “fullness”. The patient consumes less food because their brain is no longer continually telling them they are hungry and their body metabolizes fat more efficiently. Combining SlimMed Tirzepatide or SlimMed Semaglutide with a healthy diet and exercise program promotes weight loss more effectively than just diet and exercise alone.

How Much Weight Can I Lose With SlimMed?
A robust series of placebo-controlled clinical trials were conducted over a 68-week period that included thousands of participants of varying ages which led to FDA approval. In one of the most successful trials, the average weight among the participants was 231 pounds with an average BMI of 38. Participants that received the SlimMed Shot lost an average of 14.9% of their initial body weight, a loss of about 33 pounds during the trial. The participants that received the placebo lost only 2.4% of their initial body weight.
How Is The SlimMed Shot Administered?
The SlimMed Shot comes in single-use, pre-filled syringes and each syringe contains 1 dose. To administer the dose and use the syringe, simply remove the cap, press the syringe needle against the skin, insert it below skin level, and inject the medication. It will be delivered subcutaneously. Replace the cap on the syringe and dispose of it appropriately. Most patients inject the medication into their upper arm, belly, or thigh.
Am I A Candidate For SlimMed Drug Therapy?
The medical provider will review your medical history during your initial consultation. The doctor will determine if the SlimMed Shot is the right option for you and tell you which medication, Tirzepatide or Semaglutide, will work for you better. In some circumstances, it may not be recommended.
You are not a candidate for the slimmed shot if:
- You have either a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer, you should not use SlimMed;
- You have a rare genetic syndrome known as multiple endocrine neoplasias (MEN2).
